It is a tight fit. Just use a set of pliers and grip the rod end than pull the metal shock cup towards the spring side.

There is a groove on it that locks on

Just picked up a good used cobra gt. New to the class and car. What's a good starting point on shock oils and diff oils? Looks like it has white frt springs and purple rear, does that sound close.? Local track is Timezone. Thanks, starting to read thread but, getting antsy to get this thing prepped!

When you take apart the diffs V2 should have no shims behind the spiders.
I go 80 losi all around or whatever CST matches that.

Shock wise go 1000 CST with the 1.3 insert. On timezone you could probably go up to black on springs which really makes the car handle. Keep testing I'll be up for the TZ GP this year so we can rub doors. Any more questions fire away!

I've been up there before and that's the reason I'm coming back. Stuff came up last year so I missed it but the year before that was a kick. I wish I was the one you needed to worry about but my Team mate Gus is the scary one. His last chassis let him down every time he was up there. Now he's driving the snake he's on a road of redemption. We will see you guys up there, looking forward to a great weekend!
