Got to put this snake down on the track last night and man its getting good. I've been messing with Ackermann to try and keep the wheels as close to the same angle as possible which has helped my turning a great deal. I am currently using Ackermann 1 with the holes towards the end of the arm if anyone is curious.

I also decided to get the aluminum belt gears all the way around. I've had some issues with very small rocks getting stuck in them and causing belt issues. I'm hooping that the harder aluminum with allow them to fall out instead of get embedded in the plastic like they have been. We shall see. I'll play with it and see if there is any difference as far as smoothness of the car as that was brought up earlier.

Looking at a new Novarossi Keepon, Novarossi Flash or the Picco Torque. Any input?

The Xceed ZX-12 (Picco Modified) engine has been the fastest I have seen lately. It is Fast as heck. This is the powerplant I am running.

I got my aluminum gears today and have them already installed. Car feels a lot smoother to me but I also replaced most of the drive train bearings. None of the bearings were shot but I like to keep mine top notch. I have a race tomorrow so that will be the true test on these gears. I'm thinking I added a bit of weight to the car but it is still balanced left to right so I'm not too worried about it.

Not just my cap but all caps n xray too.....i watched a very good mugen driver make mistakes trying to keep up with this 747! The mtx5 just couldn't turn with the serp........
I am much faster and more comfortable driving my 747 over my old nt1. Only think is the plastic is not as strong as X-ray. Some crashes i've had i couldn't believe something broke, but it did.
Overall I am very happy I switched.
