ah the memories
Hi Bob, had to dig, but found this box of bodies I used to run with my brother and my racing buddy a few years back, around 1978~79 I think. We all just got back into R/C a few years ago. I wish a few more of these could be be brought back to life. Some of the paint jobs from the era as well. forgot the name of the first and third one, uh oh, the mind is going... I'll have to see if I can find Bob Welch and see if he has any of the molds hidden away.

painted Schkee
Well, for the guys that wanted to see one painted, I'm not a pro painter or anything, but I whipped this out with some foof cans. In what I think might pass for an older "style" paint job. Cars were hand counted and you wanted your numbers big. These were Associated 1/8 gas numbers. Bigger tires, larger trimmed out areas. Looks about right. Was fun to do.
I'll take some better pictures in a day or two. I'm thinking they'll end up on the site in the part number. Always more fun to see things painted.

here's a few better ones. You know what was cool? I had it sitting on the counter. left for about 20 minutes, came back in, and for a split second, asking myself, "when did I get that"? Tricked myself into thinking I had some new car.
My apologies for the "enthusiastic" amount of posts. I'm having a good time.

This was the body all of us ran on the Jomac team in the 80's. We would also cut out the top and also fold in the sides behind the front wheels like the real car. Those were the days of 6 cells and wiper arm speed controls. What fun.
