Ok guys I ran the car again yesterday.
This time I ran the Top aluminum steering knuckles and they worked perfectly.
I changed the setup almost the whole way and the car was great again just in a different way. Raised the roll centers above where I ran on the old photon.
Changed a ton of other stuff also.
We had a end of the season Cash race and a couple former national champs showed up. I was able to tq by about 6 seconds and win the main by a good bit but not after some drama with traffic and such.
I ran the car back to back with my photon at the end of the night and the fast laps were exactly the same but with the EX I was able to drive more consistently fast.
I would say that considering I have been running the Photon for almost 3 years and have about 15 packs on the EX that is a good result.
I feel like I have a good way to go with the setup on the EX but as for carpet my season is over and in a couple weeks we are moving outside to the Asphalt. I'm excited for this because I only have a short amount of time to work on setup before the Reedy.
I think anyone that was there last night can vouch that the car is the real deal especially this early in the development of the setup.

I have never run swaybars on the Photon with any success and I will continue this trend with the EX.
Swaybars are a big PITA to me and I chose not to deal with them, and will continue to develop setups that are swaybar free.
I know some people seem to think you need them which is fine but I really dont like their inconsistency. IMO if the swaybar cant pick up the arm without the weight of the shock on the arm then it isnt going to do much when the shock is connected.
I have yet to see a swaybar work how I would like on any car that isnt a gas car.

From what I have seen the steering rack is stock along with the camber plates but I could be wrong

Do you find yourself using stiffer spring rates on your car than other drivers who are using swaybars?
