I'm trying to get opinions on an engine for an MTX3, it needs to be a top engine from that "era". Doesn't have to be the most powerful, some thing you would have seen on mugens of that day. Any ideas?

Find an MT-12. That was THE engine for the time. Last I looked, IRS had a JP modded one in the used and discontinued section for sale. The original RB X12 was another good one.

Yeah that's the problem, finding these engines...I need it to be near mint too because it's going on one of the cars for my collection which was built brand new out the box and never ran

I don't know why I was thinking MTX2. Since it's a three, some slightly later engines come into play like the Mugen MR-12 and X12, the first gen Sirios, even the first OS rear exhaust 12. Also, while I don't have the motor anymore, I do have a mint Rex RER 12 head off a motor I ran in my 3. If you find a motor but it needs a good head, I can hook you up.

Yeah my collection mtx2 has a jp black motor with a kawahara zac project head and a zac project pipe, now i need a motor and pipe for my mtx3. Im going to be building a mtx4 next, im hoping i can find a ninja .12 motor and pipe for that one
