Default RC8 Must have upgrades and spares

Hi Guy's, I have an original RC8. I am totally new to this.
My setup is as follows:

Novarossi 367 .21 Buggy engine.
Spektrum DX3s Transmitter
SR3300T Receiver
Futaba BLS351 Steering Servo
Futaba S9155 Throttle servo

To me the car runs great! However I am a bit concerned about the age of the car and the parts compatability with the RC8B and RC8.2

The car has a few blue alluminium bits (A,B,C&D plate and chassis brace)
The Top plate is still plastic, there is also carbon fibre parts ( Towes, Servo holder)

Please can someone advise me on the essential upgrades?. What are the common parts? Should I upgrade the suspention? If yes, how? Please note that I will have to buy parts of ebay, so please be specific. Should i bid for this? (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/team-assoc...item3a6ca881da)

If u are planning on running just for fun and such then would buy up orig. Rc8 spares like those in link bu to be honest so much has been changed that u would spend more getting the rc8 to an 8.2 then just buying the 8.2
Chassis
shocks
shock towers driveline
radio tray
wing mount
arms front and rear
Sway bars front and rear
Outdrives
bulk heads pretty much everything has been changed
The rc8 is ok car but if trying to get into some serious racing then should pick up the new kit
and there is plenty of spares on ebay for the car
enjoy

A well set-up RC8 will be faster than a poorly set-up RC8.2..

The only thing I would really do is get some Big Bore shocks for it. Do that, get the setup right with all the oils and other settings and good tires and some half-way decent driving skill, and you're good to go.

Only spares IMO that are needed are front arms and front CVD's.. Even on the RC8B - and my SC8, the front right CVD seems to like to bend...

thanks for the replys. I am not looking for the latest, i just want to keep the
rc8 runnning as long as possible, and i dont want to be stuck for parts, so I need to know what to keep as spares.
