Team Magic E4RSII

Long live the original E4 !! How sad when all reports use words like "traditional design" or "typical tc layout" BLAH, BLAH. Be interesting to see how the North American market reacts. Maybe it's got some secret mojo handling characteristics.

Is there a release date for it yet?

Perhaps E3 would be a better suited name for this new installment by team magic...to me it looks like their touring car development has regressed to conforming to the cookie cutter design instead of pushing the limits of innovation within touring cars which the E4 was making a step towards.
Im quiet disappointed because I felt like the E4 was a move in the direction that touring cars need to be going..centralized weight.
With this car not being much different than the other touring cars out there..I can't really see very many people being interested in it.

if the cutting edge, pushing the limits, out the box, chassis doesn't SELL, or win races, (which are the bottom lines) whats the point.....
I like a having another choice of a boring chassis.

Yet another Tamiya,Asso,Top,Yokomo,HB and Schumacher clone.
They should have sticked to the E4 platform and refined it even more.
They need some secret evo magic in there to get it to the top of the table in this fast moving world of RC TC.
I see some trouble comming up with the motormount for sure.
Same as the Sakura Zero had.

Nice looking although the design of the older car more innovative since it had a battery in the center.

I really don't get all the love for a long central battery.. Yes, it might look good on the table with everything balanced left to right, but fore and aft the weight is in the wrong place and simply makes the car difficult to turn.
Just think of a log heavy bar, hold it in the middle and try and turn it, difficult to get going and stop. Now take a short, wider one, but the same weight, and you'll find it much easier to rotate.
Its all to do with moments of inertia. And it's on track that the performance counts. You can be innovative all you want, but if it doesn't perform (and hence sell) there is no point...
Having said that... Truely centralised weight is a different story...
(end digression off topic)

And the comments about most tc's looking alike is very true. In many cases it comes down to particulars of the design but primarily how well the manufacturer supports it. TM dropped the ball with the E4 in this country. My confidence, or lack of it, won't let me justify buying a clone car from a company with such little vision. Sorry TM....Epic Fail !

i'm thinking more along the masses. love what oleg is doing, but i think it is too much at once for our small brains. i'd like to see someone integrate the torsion spring/dampening system into a c-hub type suspension in order to make it more palpable/tangible for the group.
Speak for yourself, my brains HUGE..in my own mind.

PS I love the awesomatix
