If you want a nitro car to just play with and wow the neighborhood kids or people at the park, this is the car for you. However, if you ever want to do competitive racing, you just wasted approximately $500 that would have gotten you a pretty good competition car. It depends on what you want to do. My suggestion, buy the better car so if you want to race later, you will spend very little to upgrade to race. Also, if you ever get tired of the car and want to sell, the competition car (Mugen, Serpent, etc) is easier to sell and recoup much of your investment. Just my $0.02.

Does anyone know if the fuel tank in the Fusion\R12 is the same as in the AE NTC3? If anyone knows please tell me.
