do you know why the end of the chassis before rear suspension is cut comparing to the rc8be ? Is it made for easier access of the dirt to engine and esc ? i also heard that it prevents chassis from touching the ground while cornering but i cant see scratches on the bottom of the chassis in the rc8be in that place, hmmm

Good to see AE coming with a new RC8, was getting old
Did they solve the weight issue? I used to drive a friend's RC8Be and it felt very neutral I liked it but too heavy IMO

Brown Santa (aka UPS) dropped this off for me yesterday:
Have to wait until Christmas to open, though. Oh well, I have a ton of other things going on right now anyway.
As for what I'm using, I decided to change my setup from my RC8Be. Here's what I decided to go with:
RX8 w/1400kV motor & 6S batteries
Savox SB-2271SG servo ($50 through SavoxUSA with a servo trade in, can't beat that!)
I've been really happy with the RX8 in the Be and the Savox 1258TG servo, so I didn't see a need to change brands.
As for upgrades, will probably only buy the rear aluminum hubs and maybe Ti turnbuckles, but neither are cheap, so probably won't buy them right away.
