I have it works ok on high traction tracks.

What I have found to work pretty good is to use brake expo. That way the initial tap on the brake is not so hard causing you to look the wheels.

I will use it on hi grip tracks at the beginning of longer main and turn it off if I get any brake fade. I do use it in qualifiers a lot getting it set correctly takes some time. It might change the normal bias you use also.

Using anti-lock brakes kinda depends on your driving style and your over all brake set-up. If you go full throw on your brakes a lot and/or your brakes are set to lock-up easily, than anti-lock might work for you.
I dont use anti-lock brakes cause i usually try setting my brakes to where they only lock up at full brake, if at all. I also have gotten used to feathering the brakes as you would the throttle. I try to only use enough brake to slow the car down and not slide the tires. I'm not perfect at it, but I think I'm faster and feel more comfortable driving this way.If i get brake fade, I have my thumb switch set to add or take away brake.
Your driving style will also affect this. If you like to charge the corner, anti-lock might help, but if you drive in easy, and try to get more off the corner, no anti-lock could be better.
Just my .02.
Wouldnt hurt giving it a try one practice day, or race weekend and try to tweak it. You might find you like it, might not...just about everyone here learned by trial and error. Good Luck

Setup your braking bias according to the track and how you like your brakes to feel/work. Then fine tune with EPA's. ABS is not necessary IMO

Just a little fyi- ABS is not really good for your servos on a Nitro vehicle. you will most likely reduce the life of your servos. I experimented with ABS a few years ago when I got a radio that was capable and I fried a servo. I've heard or have had discussions with others that have had the same experience. Its fine for Electric vehicles but it's not that greats for your servos. Just keep it in mind.

IMO, A well setup car, with relation to antisquat/kickup, and brake bias, etc is much better, and more reliable than using ABS. Just speaking from experience

I use them almost all the time at my local track because I know how the car will handle there...if i travel to other tracks and the brakes are not right the 1st or 2nd run in practice I turn them off and use the brakes like normal...imo it's not worth the hassle to constantly adjust them and make them work at different tracks 
I'm very comfortable with them at my local track cause I drive with them all the time and like the car not locking up, if i'm traveling and the car tends to lock up....use less brake lol
