Here I was thinking the bonus was the Aluminum left upright on the motor pod since the instructions show a plastic one. I'm anxiously awaiting the shorty pack and if it works out will be updating my XL to an Xi shortly after.

The bonus is the left side aluminum pod plate. There is a sticker on the bag (bag 3 I think) saying its the bonus and thanks for choosing CRC.

The kit does come with the pieces needed to run inline battery which you can do with the shorty or a standard full size lipo.

How can one configure the Xi to run with battery down one side and electronics on the other? Do we need additional parts to do this?

It's amazing how small the shorty pack really is. it looks great in the car. I have yet to run it, but there's plenty of room to put your electronics in to get the car balanced.

I got my pack after Cleveland. They had a few at the CRC Parts Shop at the Champs.
