Programming GM esc with GM Commander
Has anybody done this? I am looking at getting a GM Commander so I can. Is it easy to do? My main question is can the older esc's be programmed? I assume they cannot.

I have a gm commander and it does program your esc. It works kinda like your old novak pit wizard. The Charger on the other hand is top notch and I would not get rid of it. I got mine used on Ebay then sent it in to Horizon Hobbies for a tune up, It looks and operates like new and I love it. I would highly recommend the Commander just for the charging features and if you have a gm esc it becomes that much better.

But will it program all GM esc's or only newer versions?

the GM Commander can program either SX9 or SX12.
