Default Duratrax mini-quake worthwhile?

Saw one today at a petshop/r-c store (!!) and it looked solidly built.

I dind't see anything here (from the search engine) on it, perhaps it is too new?

I have seen at other forums there is little love for the brand Duratrax, for reasons I am uncertain of.

This rtr set was 200$, which seems like a fair deal.

Opinions or reviews?

You'll find more discussion at www.minioffroaders.com or www.one18th.com.

Seems the car is essentially good, with a few weaknesses, noticeably the diff outdrives.

HeY hEy!!!

I have one at the hobby shop i work at, and trinityracingnut and i have drove it plenty and put it to a durability test by smacking into stuff driving it off the counter and it seems to be holding up alot better then all the other duratrax stuff. i'd have to say it looks like duratrax has made something desent, and i'm pleased w/ it.

Default Going against the grain-

I bought it without reading the thread 1st (I was out, and didn't have access to the 'net), fortunately it does seem to be a good deal.

Now to find improvements on it...
