I believe the carbon rear axle will give a 40+g weight savings

My RM sits at 760g w/steel axle

Meaning the carbon rear axle is the must have option part for reducing the weight
I guess my car is a lttle over weighted
The Hobbywing ESC is a large and heavy one, especially compared to a tekin or LRP SXX versions.

Wel today i had my first race experience with a 1/12 pan car.
I was driving the car with a 17.5T motor against really fast guys who where using a 10.5T motor and to my surprise i ended up in the A-final.
Allthough i was on the last spot it sure gave me a good feeling and a big smile.
My car was set at a ride height of 4.2mm while all the other guys had a ride height between 3 and 3.5mm, my tires where brand new out of the box and not been trued or glued on the side wals yet.
Meaning there are some pieces out of one of the rear wheels
Hope my automatic tire truer will be here in a couple of days so i will be able to true the tires a little bit down en set the ride height arround 3.2mm.
And will be trying to get a 10.5T motor for the next race in 3 weeks time, then i'm able to see how i'm doing against the really fast guys.
And allthough they were so fast the difference between the fastest pilot and me was 6 rounds, not to bad after all i guess
The car itself was really good, now i just need some more practice with this car.
But i really like the way the car drives, all the other 1/12Th pan car drivers where surprised that it was a tamiya
That's the way i like it the most, being the underdog but still be able to compete with the other fast guys with there more standard brands of 1/12th cars.

I'd say so. It's the exact same method used on the C-series cars.

hey RedBullFiXX or anyone else that may know...

If I were to experiment with the front end on the RM01 and modify the existing Tamiya parts, does that break any TCS rules? I will still be using Tamiya parts, but may do some trimming, or other mods. I might use parts from other Tamiya cars as well. I know others have done mods already, just didn't know if its TCS legal.

I think i've found a solution to use the tamiya wheels and tires and still have plenty of ride height while you can use the tires very close to the wheel itself.
Still need to verify this by building the car to a normal ride height of 4mm or higher/lower to be sure this is possible.
I did try something but still needs to clear this out so i can be sure of it
