Hung at Norcal had his car running first time and it looked dialed. He only wished he had the upgrade top shock to adjust rear droop otherwise I was very impressed for a what seems to be a novelty car

And he ran the stock huge tires

Fortunately at our track big tires are the secret at least as i've seen on our carpet track that is glued to concrete not on top of plywood. And the kit tires are like olden days huge so besides it needing a little top shock help it was stable, drivable and really simple looking. I was just telling Hung that it would indeed be a great intro car. I support this car being a fun 12th scale and look forward to seeing how fast it can go at least in stock for now

I told Hung about this thread but will tell him about your advice or maybe he'll see it himself

Hey Redbull, are you going to be at the TCS race on the 22nd? A couple of us are going to make the trek down from rainy Seattle. I would love to see this car in action, I've followed this thread for awhile now and I'm getting antsy to see one!

I'm sure most people will paint the body up in Toms colours (which looks cool), I had some old decals for the Iseki 956 so went with that for something different.

I now have my new Toyota Toms RM-01 in hand. I just need to build it up now. Can't wait.

I have some questions though regarding electronics and battery selection.

1) I have a new Reedy 3300 KV Brushless Motor (not sure if this a 540 size can or not) and XP Sc-700 ESC taken from an SC10 2WD. Will this system fit in my 1/12th car?

If it will not fit, then what should I look for? Please provide some examples.

2) What style of servo is needed? Smaller than the standard? Please provide some examples.

3) What size of battery pack is needed? I currently have 2S Lipo for my 1/10 scale cars. Are these too big for this car? Please provide some examples of what I should look for here.

4) Gearing. What spur gear does the car come stock with? What pinion is generally recommended to be used with the stock gear?

Looking at your Iseki stickered Toyota brings me way back.

BTW you did a really nice job of adapting those stickers onto the Toyota body. I remember those side stickers weren't very easy because it was so long. They're hard to apply even and straight without any bubbles.

I had an Iseki 956, a Newman 956 and also a Canon 956. I wonder if Tamiya will be bringing back any of those. There also used to be a very cool looking blue Leyton House Toyota back in the day. Would be nice to see that one again.
