I would have thought there was room to put the battery on either side, whatever side the servo is.

I would have thought there was room to put the battery on either side, whatever side the servo is.
If you put the battery on the same side, as the heavy side of the servo ,the car will be very out of balance ! But yes, you can do it .

I know there was some question as to weight differences between the stock pod and tamale pod. I finally got around to weighing them. It surprised me honestly.

Chassis weights.
So I discovered these at my shop being it's pinecar season, these weights are perfect for the center section of the car; they are a touch smaller than the cut out in the chassis but are the perfect thickness and are easily mounted. Best part is they are tungsten which is much denser than lead or brass and have smaller incrimates included in this kit.
The larger piece is 14g, the smaller ones are 7g and I think 3g. There is enough if you are shoe gooing them to multiple batteries you should be able to get two done out of a package.
My car was just so under weight it was impossible for me to use a solid piece of brass, it still required weight on the top of the chassis which I didn't want.

I got to run my Rev 7 at the UK nationals last weekend. The car was absolutely brilliant 
It was so easy to drive, held corner speed unbelieveably well and caused quite a stir over here.
Recently I have been a D/E final driver at the nationals, with the Rev 7 I qualified in the C on the Saturday with 10.5 blinky and in the B on Sunday in Mod.
There were a constant stream of drivers curious as to what this super handling car was.
It was pretty much box stock, just added the Tamale pod. Setup was 020 springs F/R, 10k diff lube in the sides, Asc blue and 40w in the centre. Jaco magenta front and pink rear.

Have to agree mine always creates interest. I moved to the blue centre spring last time out and it made a world of difference. Not sure what my side springs are though as they are kit.

.020 side springs are the kit side springs.
Yes the rev 7 tamale pod will now fit your wgt3 as well.
