Default brand of spur gear
looking for a replacement spur gear thats not tamiya for my trf417, so i don't have to use the tamiya pinions, so i can have more variety

any suggestions?

Go on Speedtechrc.com and under gears you will find a spur called the supalite version 2...this works on the 417 and is 64 pitch so any 64 pitch pinions will work..

I use Kimbrough spurs. Really thick, providing a good surface area which equals less stripping.

Agreed, been using Kimborough spurs for a LONG time on all my Tamiyas, love 'em to death, smooth, true & tough.....

Do you guys know which Kimbrough gears would fit on the 417? It seems like it's hard to find spurs that fit the 417 since they changed the holes from the 416..I remember reading this in the 417 official thread but I don't think there were many options..

u might have better luck asking on the 417 thread
