I had my first race with the new buggy this weekend, it started out rough but ended well. I broke a tank in practice by casing a big jump in the middle of the track. thankfully an odonnell tank fit with the Intech mounts. On Sat. I had more problems but none with the buggy, my receiver pack didnt take a charge for the first round, in the second round the wire for my throttle servo backed out of the receiver, then in the third round I was within a minute of finishing when I had a clutch spring break. So I qualified dead last. On Sun. I bumped all the way from the E main to the A main and finished seventh. The car was awesome on Sunday after I got used to driving it with the new extended chassis. Overall I am very happy with my race this weekend and look forward to the next race.

Congrates on your race and nice way get lots of run time bumping up I bet you were pacing big time getting ready for each Main. WTG

When I built my kit, I noticed how much the tank would hover aswell as sway left to right. I ended up putting a piece of foam between tank and chassis to cushion the tank and keep it from bouncing to much.

I was definitely having some nerves in between races, bumping from a high main is very stressful but once you make it to the A its a great feeling of accomplishment.

We are converting one right now, until the Factory kit comes out.
We are using a motor mount similiar to the Hobby pro kit.
the 808E is short, height wise, so we are going to use a carbon or Aluminum to space up to the factory height of the Intech mounts.
I should have it done this week and will share photo's and what I used.

I tried just bolting doen the motor mount we have and the 46 tooth spur gear hits the chassis and will hang down too far.
It will need work either way.

Here is a problem
speed passion conversion for xray 808/xb8 will not let mount 40 mm diameter motors, as my mamba 2200kv is
Hobby pro conversion is not available, out of stock in Italy(i hate berlusconi)
So, as i read somewhere (and if i'm wrong please correct me)
Hpi vorza motor mount works as conversion for Hot Bodies D8
Hot Bodies D8 electric conversion kit works (as written by JamminSp) for intech br 5 (with modifications)
mathematically correct : Hpi vorza motor mount would work on intech br 5?
Headache is coming...help
Thanks

I'm an Intech team driver for Intech Denmark (Europe) and I used a Kyosho MP9e motor mount which fits, but you need to modify the other half of the center diff mount. The mp9e mount is hugely expensive though.
Also, can someone make up a list of what aftermarket bodies fits the BR5 Evo? Both nitro and, preferably, electric specific bodies. The Stock BR5 body is outdated, ugly and fits poorly when the car is converted. Heard Associated bodies fit, is that true?
