Scraping paint off the car....

Sorry, but cant find any thread related to this, so im creating one.....

i accidently used the wrong Tamiya spray paint TX on this HPI body of mine, and is now chipping off every other part of it...thinking of sanding it off, but it just dont come off that easily as i thought, any ideas on how to take off the paint without melting it with turpentine?

TIA.

Dragon : try using acetone. i've done this already with my Tamiya Subaru body. I was able to completely remove all the original paint.

hope this helps.

Whatever acetone you were using must have been pretty diluted with something.
When I tried acetone it melted straight through the shell.

It's ages since I've used it but I thought that the tamiya paints were water based.

PAINT STRIPS

DRAGON;

Wyd from the Veteran 03 thread forum mentioned something like POLLEY'S AESY LIFTOFF, if you want u can browse the thread and ask him for more info. I haven't tried that yet coz it's hard to find one here in Philippines.

BTW. we got the same problem bro.
