Questions?? Tamiya M03L - Problems

Hi all,

Just found my old RC M03L and thought I'd give it a charge and have a play with it. Just charged the batteries and went to connect it when the wheels started spinning, very strange as it's actually switched off

Anybody know why?

It's been so long I can't even remember if I had this problem before

Ta.

Sounds like there is a problem with your ESC? try swapping it out and go from there.

Excuse my ignorance, but what's an ESC?

The speed controller ESC (Electronic speed controller). Does it run with a reciver battery also or just the main (7.2/7.4) stick pack. If it has a reciver pack then the speedo may just need recalibrating. If still no joy the I would look at replacing the speedo mate.
