To Sauce or not to Sauce.......

Well I look at it like this. The fast (TEAM) drivers will always be faster than non team drivers. They have the best, newest and freshest product at that time. Racers like me do it for the love of racing. So I will always be a road hazard to most but I will always have fun doing it. I do really enjoy watching the Team Drivers Race.

So if you want to sauce go ahead but me I will not.

But I do know plenty of racers wo do get sauced......He He He!

Looking foward to seeing everyone in Conn in September at the Nats!

Trinity Red Dot will bring your dry foam tires back to life ! Make sure you make the sauce penetrate the tire before leaving it overnight . After that , wipe off the excess with a clean cotton rag until you feel the tire stick to the rag , and your tires should be as good as new !!! Red dot also works on rubber tires !

We have been racing gokarts for 20 years or longer and since we have gotten into RC racing we use our Track Tak tire preps on about any tire. But their blue tire wash does wonders on proline tires. I have just got to figure out how to roll the tires from the inside out. cant seem to find a small enough tire roller. But I can fit 100's of tires in my hotbox. lol

has anyone tried Tornado Trrack Max:
It's track treatment, with that saucing tires is useless

And any idea how much it costs?

And the shit hits the fan.....

Italy is sadly the country with the most influence on the RC sport. The EFRA has already problems with the Italian manufacturers getting exhausts with less noise and now they disagree on this... Maybe a bad or an early conclusion but the EFRA is loosing grip....

Manufacturers look at the whole world and not only at Europe. Italy seems to be the biggest European market sooo.... Is EFRA fighting for a minority market? What I often hear is that all must get cheaper but on the other side, with financial regression in mind, its one of the best run class in every country! So the reason that it must be cheaper does not fit the profile.

EFRA needs to think about the following points:
  • Can this be controlled with a ban on additive?
  • Are there alternatives? (e.g. all the same tire like TC)
  • What are the pro's and con's for allowing additive?

My opinion is that point 1 will be very expensive as you need to adapt to each development, you dont exactly know what to look for. During the EC-A I have seen some smart solutions to trick the rule. Point two could be done but will have a major impact on cost and trade. Point 3 ... I noticed lower wear with treated tires but on the other side a higher load on the engine (wears faster) but can be tuned to. Additive is not really expensive, 8 euro's for a can that lasts at least halve a year.

So I would say, good luck with solving this issue!
