Here are some pics of the battery side. There is a locator on the inside both front and back. The fit is good on the locators and the tape slots are right at the edge of the battery. In the picture without the battery you can see some of the almost 100 grams of weight added to make weight. The piece used is from the photon balance weight set, it is cut down to length and notched for the servo to fit in where I have it.

Yes the old plates are the same, just different colors.
I've not had any problems with the old camber plates. In testing the new top deck was pounded pretty hard and did not fail.
As for the motor mount, you're getting two in the kit to use until the new production comes in. That's better than getting one of the current old stock in the kit and then you have to order another one if you bend the first. Hardly a band-aid IMO.

right side hub
I have an old 10L2 car that I am thinking about making into a WGT car using some home made parts and some 1/12 scale stuff I have. I need some help with the right side diff hub, if you look in the pictures I am going to try and use a 1/12 scale rear pod with my 10L2 axle and diff. It is currently 1/4 in too wide and I would like to know what is the width of the right side hubs on the newer 1/10 CEFX pan cars?
My hub is 1.4" long or 36.5mm. Like I mentioned I am hoping you guys can help me out and see if anyone makes a hub that is between 1.1 - 1.15 or something close I can make work.

I know there are 1.2 hubs for 1/10th. I believe there are some even shorter if you need them. 1.4 is common on oval cars. Here are IRS hubs. I think standard is 1.2 while wide is 1.4 but you might want to ask him to be sure.

HB shock for my Griffin 10 is on the way. Assuming we can find it in a very disorganised pit box
Racing F1 this week and will be wrenching on the CEFX to get my GT ready for the Snowbirds. Let's hope the venue isn't too cold and I can get it done

And that works OK? It appears to be physically possible to use another support plate? Are they available seperately?
Call me paranoid or just accident prone, but I'd need at least a spacer and another screw in the layshaft to ensure that the bearing on the open end didn't find another home while I was racing/crashing.
.....and the answer to the question that you're about to ask is "Yes, things like that happen to me all the time". If it wasn't for bad luck, rotten luck, or dumb luck I wouldn't have any luck at all.

I agree with you and I personally just like things symmetric, that is why I ordered another support plate for the battery side. I will tell you the single support is very strong. I think it is a 3mm thick CF piece. My real concern is more about the single screw holding the shaft. If it were to come lose all hell would break lose?
