With the red spring I would probably tighten down the nut until it slips on the track, then back it off 1/4 to 1/2 a turn. Just make sure the spring still works like a spring and not a spacer.

Should I take out the brass weights? I have teh red spring in, the problem is i haven't had time or found a suitable place to break in my engine. So, before i have any problems with my clutch should i remove the brass weights?

the short ones

PS the inside hole on the long one is the same as the outside hole on the short one as far as steering goes.

jnims29, i took my brass inserts and the car started running great, before it would bog no matter what I did.

i would say take them out now if you're using the red spring and save yourself the trouble

i love how everywhere i go i am seeing madza 6 bodies, i have the same exact body painted in all black.....

anyways, i have a new problem, where steering servos do you guys run in your mongoose or g4?

I need a new one but a I want a good brand perferably hitec.

if I can get a decent one for around $50 or less it would be great.

what should I be looking at for speed and torque?

or does anyone have a servo thats good.

Im using for steering and for gas/brake 2 Hitec 635HB's ... 6kg of torque at 0,15 segs. Enough for nitro 200mm racing ... im using them for about 4 months without any issue ... enough torque for the light weight G4 steering system ... and CHEAP !!!

Yes the last system mounted over ball bearings its very light weight, i see not a single problem with my 6kg servos doing the job ...

And about the .15 segs ... i think is enough ... at least for me and for the kind of tracks i have around here ...

cya!

does anyone know the part number of this ball cup? it seems different from the rest.... 4mm?

And is it just me, or does anyone else find the handle a little badly positioned too far back causing the car to tilt forwards when u pick it up, often having your fingers touch the burning hot engine head?

4.8mm ball #115021
The handle feels a little too small for me, that's why I pick my car up from the head of the engine

You guys can use 3Racing alum handle for G4. Pretty nice design.
