I just used standard wire to build my battery pack. I am going to have to try the desoldering braid - looks cool.

I just got and did a break-in of a OS TZ 3 port. It has lots of power, maybe not as powerful as a modified Nova or JP, but for $200 cannot beat it for the price.
BTW, I have a G4 Evo for sale (my backup car) - check it out.

I am not sure about the weight. I do not worry about it, it is built like a tank. I have only broken once this year, somebody hit in the back and busted my rear bulkhead/bumper.
Did you notice the rear diff? It is the Kawaraha negative diff for the RR. It does not fit out of the box, but that is why they created the dremel.
Yes, the car is heavier, but it drives great. To offset the weight I clean the bearings regularly and add just light bearing oil.

Just added a few goodies on mine. 3racing front graphite upper deck, k-factory graphite front shock tower and 3Racing rear shock tower with aluminum stiffener.
Can't wait to try it out tomorrow -- i just hope it doesn't rain.
