the ta04 front oneway is great, for a ta04 or trf414m, but its no good for your colt. It would take more modifying than your colt is worth to make it fit.

I have a ta04-trf and am using a oneway. its a very good oneway.. but if u are new at driving it... u will find braking to be a difficult thing.

Tamiya 49203 TA04 Reinforced Gear Case.
I think it's used in the latest TA04 car (The TA04R-tuned).
If you can find it, please let me know the price (in USD)
I still have TA04s, and TRF414s. I also made a mini TRF414.
See it here :

I didn't say universal ize but universal type. Almost every belt manufacture has this S3M or 3M type belt.
As in your case, the 162-3gt, the 162 number is probably the length of your belt (please check it). But 502j, the 502 is not the length of it.
There's other method beside using yarn and ruler.
If you don;t have them both, just count the teeth on your belt and multiply by 3. Usually that's the result of your belt length.
About the 4mm wide, if you don't find any ready stock 4mm wide with the length you're looking for, you can ask the belt store to cut it for you (perhaps some extra fees apply). I once asked them to cut 3mm for my Xray T1 belt.... and I can buy 3 belts with the price of 1 original Xray belt (Sorry X-ray... no offense... I'm just a limited budget racer .... )

Hey just wanted to say thanks to the guys posting in this thread. I spent all last night looking at what gears and other setup tips you could offer for this chassis. I took the car on its last run today and it ran perfect! As I just said, this is the last time I am going to run my TA04R chassis since I will be moving up to the 415MSX next week.
