Universals do make a huge difference in your drivetrain, power will be more efficiently sent to the wheels, if you want to get a set at a time start with the front and then do the rear. What Shock fluid viscosity are you using? for carpet, I've seen people effectively use 60w - 80w. Yellow springs Fr. and reds rear does seem way too soft for carpet, for carpet I ran Whites and Blues at first, whites up front, but a veteran racer clued me into something a bit odd about the 04. If you want better traction in the rear, go stiffer, now I run blues front, and whites rear, surprisingly enough in practice this also applies to tarmac. Depending on your track you may want to experiment with different sway bars.
This also worked for me, take your front belt and using a nail clipper carefully clip every other tooth, DON'T DIG IN TOO DEEP!!
This also frees up your drivetrain.

Just so you know though the belt trimming trick is not TCS legal per FMW. But for week in/week out racing yeah it helps.

Belt trimming? I've never heard of that one. I only have the 3 colors yellow, red, and blue on my tree that I got for springs. Should I move the blue to the front and red to the rear? Oh I run 30 weight oil. Is that too thin? How much will trimming the belt free up? I really with my belt was more loose. I got the low friction ones but they seem so tight.

Sorry for the late response. Assuming that the springs that you have are Tamiya, red will be much too soft for the rear. At this point I think that your best bet would be to check out other peoples setups, I know you're thinking, "I've heard that before", but honestly it's the best thing to do. There's too many variables,
the type of carpet, the state it's in and how much traction it provides, Traction compounds, tires, shock fluid, springs, swaybars, etc. The fast guys at your track have already sorted these things out and know what works an what doesn't. It would be next to impossible for me to provide you with a winning setup. The most I can tell you is that carpet setups are generally much more stiff than tarmac setups, and basically the suggestions that I provided in my previous post would apply.
