I'd get an Mi2....at least you know Schumacher won't come out with a car every couple of months. New updated parts are one thing, but to keep busting out cars? I'd rather purchase updated parts then to see a current car I own be "outdated" within a year.

The tranny is super free, the car has plenty of adjustments, and great aftermarket support. I also truly believe that the customer service and advice from Schumacher USA is the best I have ever seen. I haven't had much interaction with Tamiya, but I have with some other manufacturers and been dissapointed.

as for existing drivers of the 415 i'ts only a matter of updating if they wish. some driver's still prefer the existing 415.
the old saying goes........ different strokes for different folkes

No, it's not stupid asking. How would you else find out?
Anyway, a very important factor in choosing a car, is local support. This means it should be easy to get spare parts locally. It also means, that you should choose a car, which several other people run locally, because then they can help you.
Quality and handling wise, most of all the new cars are very good and quite even, it's the details that differ. So you cant really go wrong with any of these two cars.
Personally, durability means a lot to me - my track time is quite limited, so I prefer a car which dont break all the time. Also, I prefer a car that's quite easy to work on - again, my time spent on my hobby is limited.
