Good advice. It's always nice to have a backup engine.

I just scored on a SWEET deal. I got a GO Tech 5-port, with a complete Mugen clutch set up (flywheel, alum shoes, CB), a JP-1 pipe and a motor saver air filter for $200 shipped. That's the price of the engine alone! And everything is brand spankin new. The engine has never been fired. It was a backup engine for someone who is getting out of the hobby. He had it all set up and never used it.

I'll probably be looking for a different pipe for it though. I have a JP-1 already, so I might just sell the one I get with this engine. I'd like to try the 086 because I know Russ reccomends that one a lot. I just want to know which brand he's running.

jfc_tech you rock too man

Yes its both Proline bodies. I just like the proline bodies, they make the X1's look retro dude
The tyres are GRP atomics for the buggy and 40 profile cubics for the truggy.

Seeing as this thread IMO is the best X1 thread I will spread all the info I get to know about here first.

Let me give you guys privi to some news you'll probably here much later.

Are you ready!

All I can say is that its not a rumour.
Soon we'll see a new X1. Round abouts the end of 2007.
You didnt hear this from me jfc.

Thats all I am going to say. If you want more info? Stay tuned.

What happened to Tabushi, I heard a rumour he's defecting to Mugen?

great.. new X1. but the old X1 is still performing. just check at the recent Dirt Nitro Challenge. Chad B is still on the podium. Even the X1CRT. anyway, its good if every change is for the better. i especially looking forward for the CRT development. honestly. it need some changes. but i let jammin / hongnor do that. im sure they check around also.

and the thing about our friend, Tabushi..well, im sure its for his own good. i just wish him all the best. Hopefully in the future we not racing in the same event and class. it will be awkward.

Tabushi, all the best, my friend.

just like Associated who didn't need to make the original GT better, they still developed the GT2 and that kicks even more a$$. think about the X1, it kicks a$$ now, just think what it can do with the remodelling??!?!?!

Default CRT .5

Over the weekend I was playing with a friend tenth scale rear drive nitro Losi. What huge fun I had. Its not so noisy and I can play in the backyard.
I am now mad about getting the new CRT .5. We getting stock in the next few weeks. Only pro kit available for now. The RTR will be released later.
Thats going to be a winner.
Anyone else looking at getting the CRT .5?

Wonder why they would release new outer diff gears. I have not seen any problems with the stock ones.

What I want to see is better internal diff gears, I hate the stock aluminum internal gears.
