Default X1 Parts

Tabushi this C-hub makes the X1 even better in the rough. You really dont need to upgrade the X1 to win races, I'm just a sucker for bling. Also I believe the hopups seperate the men from the boys.

The centre diff upgrade also makes the world of a difference. Better and more consistant breaking, smoother running drivetrain. Minimal play between spur and clutch bell.

hey Jerseyboy, why do you still have those plastic bits underneath the brake disks? i took those out a long time ago because they serve no purpose. and does the machined C-hub make it handle any better or just make it more durable?

macnkitty2002 Hi. Those are old photos. Mine has been removed.
The CNC C-hub gives you more caster. from 18 to 23 degree. I felt my car was easier to drive. Our track is a very rough track. Also improvement in steering.

Jerseyboy I wasn't aware that the new hubs changed the caster on the X1. Where did you get your info?

X1S-53 CNC Machined Alumimium Front "C" Hub (For:X1CR and X1CRT)

HN Racing have now released their new CNC Machined and hard anodized front "C" hub for the X1CR Buggy and the X1CRT Truggy.

The X1S-53 "C" hub is machined from solid billet 7075 aircraft grade alloy and then hard treated to make it extremely durable.

The caster angle has been increased from 15 to 17 degrees on the block and coupled with the 7 degree kick-up it gives a massive 24 degrees for on power steering on rough tracks.

The X1S-53 is now available for shipping and had been seen at the World Titles in Jakarta!

Very intresting JFC!

I talked to Chad Bradly today on the Grid and here is what he told me.

"The caster in the jammin car (total) thats with the kick in the
chassis and the kingpin angle is 22 degrees i believe. The alum.
caster blocks increase the caster by only 1 1/2 degrees, but in order
for the clearence issues they had to move the front axle foward very
slightly. I prefer the plastic hub, and on the aluminum hub theres a
longer position for the upper arm, I didnt notice too much of a
difference between the two."

So it appears that we a could go from about 22* to 24*. Man that is alot of caster. If I didn't know what the numbers were and somebody told me to use 24* of caster I would think they were nuts. It is very surprizing to find out that the stock caster is 22*. With the way the car turns in out of the box I would have guesed 20* or lower. I have always like the way my cars drive with more caster so I might have to give the CNC blocks a try before I switch cars.

Thanks for posting that Jerseyboy. If I hadn't read that I would have never given it a second thought.

I have never broken any plastic on the Jammin car in over 1 1/2yrs. However the CNC uprights might suit my driving style better. I have never had a problem going in. I like to go in nice and easy and come out flyin'!
