make sure that your hinge pins aren't bent either. remove the e-clips and roll them on a flat surface. they should roll smoothly. if they wobble or roll irregularly, then they're bent. drill out a very small amount of material from the inside of the suspension arms too. try putting a stiffer spring on the shocks too.
but i still don't understand why the shocks wont rebound with the springs on, but they will with the springs off. the shocks should rebound even more easily with the springs on because obviously the springs are pushing the shock back out.

He has already stated that the arms move freely with the shocks off and that the car has rebound with the old shocks on. So it can only be the way the new shocks are mounted on the car and most likely it is that the top nuts are too tight and causing it to bind.
Come on B.P spill the beans, did ya figure it out?

Not exactly... the black head is the on-road version to my understanding, I have the blue headed version with the silver case..... My buddy owns a hobbyshop and has had it in stock for 3-4 years!!! The monster truck guys he did most of his off-road buisness to wanted bigger and bigger engines!!! So a few years later I get the engine at $240!!! You can't touch a modified engine for that especially a PARIS modified!!!! He still has a Picco 0-1 big power Paris modified in stock!!!

Well guys I ordered a x1cr factory kit yesterday. Im switching from mugen to try something different. Does the factory kit have the one piece engine mount? Also what diff fluid does this car seem to like. i use to have a 9.5 pro and one thing I didnt like about it was the shocks, Are they the same as the factory kits? I just couldnt get them smooth like my kanai 2 I had at the time. Anything I need to watch out for while building?

the buggy likes the 5k/7k/2k set up for starters. i started with that and i like it thus far. the shocks are the same as the 9.5 shocks, but are hard anodized. i think the kit comes with a one piece engine mount, not sure though. since you've probably built a kit before, i'm just going to remind you to thread the screws into the plastic parts before you build the part. especially remember to pre thread the diff cases, or else you will get really aggravated.

do you think the shock tower must have 2 row of hole when there is 2 hole shock position on lower arm.. i cant get full droop when using the outer hole on both front/rear arm, have to use the down travel limit screw.
which position is the better for the shock.. more lay down or more vertical
