Ran the 17.5 mach2 for the first time in my 1/12th. Motor seems to have excellent rip... I don't think I have found the sweet spot yet, but it was running good @ a hair less than max timing and ~94mm roll out. Temp. 158 after the main.

sonic motor help
My sonic motor powered car took a huge tumble and immediately sounded like the gear mesh had gone bad and it would not go so I pulled in into the pits and reset the mesh. But the motor still would not turn and it was hot so I just stopped.
Tonight I pulled the motor out of the chassis and inspected it and found the motor timing plate was rotated about 90 degrees, way past the timing marks. I just used my fingers and was easily able to rotate the back plate to bring it back to the zero mark and the motor now runs, but it sounds horrible and even worse, as I watched the vibration started moving the timing plate. It seems the set screws were not holding the timing plate in position. I have tightened them with screwdriver and they are holding position but the motor still has the horrible howling sound.
Any suggestions? Do I need a new bearings? A new rotor? A new sensor board?

Edit: Thought I knew your issue... but it started doing this after it was already working fine? This isn't a fresh install is it? I thought you might have wired your motor wrong.
