On my gen 1 sonic you can turn the pointer well past the last timing mark. Not sure of the later model.

Not sure what the relevance of the question is? Gearing is really dependent on track size and application. For example 1s or 2s, TC or 1/12 scale, etc.

Does anyone have any tips on how to get the timing to change, I can not turn this thing for the life of me. Yes I have loosened the screws...

I have found that on some of the newer Reedys, they use loctite on the timing cap screws... and sometimes the loctite works itself in between the edge of the sensor board assembly and the metal end cap. This makes it a royal pain to turn and adjust the timing. It almost feels like something is broken/binding.

I would pull the motor out of the your car and disassemble the back-half. Pull out the sensor board assembly and make sure it is clean and can rotate when things aren't fully tightened down. Then go about reassembling, paying careful attention to the alignment and making sure things aren't binding.

My motor comes off at 140-150. I can't quit tell if the gearing is good coming from a d3.5, which felt faster.

Ambient temp of 75-80 indoors on carpet with high humidity

The car just feels flat and doesn't seem to have the pull out of corners or on the straight.

Indoor carpet 15 meter straight geared at 5.9 fdr
Hobbywing v3 boost 4500 to 16000 at 25 degrees
Turbo 16000. At 20 degrees
Motor 13.5 25 degrees timing
Fastest car on track it was still winding up at the end of the straight
Coming off at under 70 degrees c it had so much power bottom mid and top end and very very smooth I was amazed and recommend this set up and motor to all

Play around with your gearing. If you arent losing out on the top end, drop a tooth or 2. Or, if your track is bigger, you may need another tooth or 2. Each motor is a little different. Ive had a few that felt really good at 3.76, and the one I have currently im at a 4.0 and it still feels like I need to drop a tooth, so just play with it

Anyone have a suggestion on how to remove the small rear bearing and replace with the optional ceramic. I have a much more bearing remover that worked well for the front bearing. Concerned about damaging the circuit board surrounding the small rear bearing. Thanks

I've got two 17.5s, one is a sonic, one is a revtech. One has to go in a 1/12th scale on 1s, the other in a touring car. Which would you put where and why if you have a reason
