Default Which tire remove method won't harm the foam and tires?

I mounted one tire on wrong. I need to remove from rim. Which method won't harm tires? I was thinking the bake method. Other methods are the boil and acetone.

Thx

Brand new Xacto knife and carefully slice away the tire right at the rim. No heat or chemicals to affect the volitiales in the rubber.

Supposedly the acetone fumes are what softens the CA glue, so you don't have to submerse the tires to remove them (which ruins Losi tires, not so bad with Prolines). I've heard that you can get a sealable container and suspend the tire over a pool of acetone and it will debond the glue. I don't know if this take longer, or hurts molded CC foams. Not sure if it is any easier on the tires but it sounds like it would be.

They also sell CA debonder at hobby shops but that might hurt the tires.

Im pretty sure baking is your only option.... it's also the easiest, quickest, and least dangerous.

This would be the best way , all of the others will damage either the tire or the foam or both .

I've had good luck baking the tire. Everything is in good reusable shape afterwards.

Baking destroys AKA foams. They shrivel up and go flat.

Suspend them in a sealed bucket with acetone for 24 hours. The fumes will soften the glue so you can peal off the tread. Open cell foams don't like this method and some 1/10 JC tires don't like it either. But I have unglued and remounted many tires this way. Some three times and it has only killed one set of open cell foams. Best method out there. Oh and all done with the same acetone I bought 1.5 years ago for $10.

Bake! Preheat oven to 400 turn off, put tires in for 15 min. Should come right off, use oven mitts!

Acetone will only badly damage Losi Pink rubber, red and silver should be ok like most proline (MC will be damaged like pink). The vapor does get it done. Works very well and less acetone is needed.

Then air out your house for two days, turn off the smoke detectors and play dumb if your wife (or parents depending on your age) asks why the house stinks so bad.

Some times when you screw up, you screw up.

Baking stinks, and can warp the rim if not careful. I use acetone and never have had a problem.
