Last week Jr. and Todd tested some things on the rear motor chassis set up and felt they had a handle on it, and it appears to be working. As with all R&D it takes time.

Rob, how much of an effect would it be on the car if i ran the ballstuds on the tower(f/r) in the middle spots? i kind of stripped them out also, what if i didnt run any drag link spacers or bump steer spacers?

The tower camber link locations are critical to how the car performs. I would suggest getting the old ones out and buying some replacements. Drag link, are you refferring to the pivot block shims? That creates the anti dive in the front and raises the roll center a little, You need those there for setup to work. The bump steer shims are a matter of preference, I like the car the way it performs with them, I tried it with out at first, much more consistant with them. I can't stress this enough, follow the setups as acurately as you can. Many people try to run a setup sheet and don't run it exactly and the car doesn't work. Follow the sheet and go from there.

When I get home from work I will post a link to a tuning guide that will help you understand what each move does to affect the car. You can also get the XXX main tuning guide, the best $20 dollar you can spend, very informative stuff in there.

u dont need 2 post the link, i alraedy have xxx main chassis setup guide.by darg link i mean the .060 spacers on the drag link ballstuds. It also sux cuase my lhs doesnt have any 6 degree caster blox, so i have 2 find a way to get more mid corner steering. also, no 50 lb springs, so i wuz gonna run 60's with a stiffer rear spring as well, should be ok, right?

Drag link, oh yeah, drag link.

Your refering to the rear hub ball stud shims, right? You can try to find some ae ones. I know they make'm. I also use one in the front ball stud too.

Nothing wrong with running the springs a little heavier. I was running 60# F and 25# R, but went to 50/20 and added swaybars. Tire wear seemed a little high though.

To bad about the 6* blocks, those are a must have in my opinion.

Prototype must be working pretty good. I talked with my buddy Jared Scott today and he says all the JRX-S have the rear motor version, that he has looked at in the top level......Jared's 5th in mod btw. ....................Jim

I'm looking for more corner speed (especially entry speed) using the Numan setup. (rubbers on asphalt-outdoors) Any ideas??? I have tried using a one-way (diff and pulley) and have also tried a diff, but felt that I had to change my driving style too much.

Also, has anyone tried the Skoda 2 body with a different (higher downforce rear wing)??? I have yet to paint my body up and was thinking of doing so, but from what I can gather, the Skoda 2 provides plenty of steering and has very little rear downforce/grip. Is this correct???

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Leonard.
