Last year I ran the Trinity Matt Francis hubs. They did good but this year I wanted to try the Dynamite red hubs because the pin actually goes through the hex so it stays on the axel when you change wheels. If you want to run the wide hexs then the Associated clamping hexs are great. Good Luck

Just wondering if anyone out there has worked out a way to swap the front diff out quickly without having to remove half of the front end to do so (pivot mount, shock tower, etc.- so I can change from the spool to normal diff ). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What you describe is how Todd Hodge told me to do it.

I noticed that comment in Car Actions review too. I race on a swept and blown asphalt parking lot and practice on a completely uncleaned tennis court. After about 7 runs between the two surfaces, I haven't noticed any gritty feeling at all.

They feel the same as the day I built them.

I built my diff this time with a purple grease called Area 51. I used VERY little on the diff balls and packed up the thrust washers thick with it. I am running indoors on a carpet track and cars full of tire dust after one run and my diffs are still smooth as can be. Many laps with 19t too.

I put a few days of practice and racing on my car, as well as radar runs and a photo shoot on a dusty, dirty surface and ran into no trouble whatsoever. Diffs felt as smooth as day one. Aside from the long outdrives, the diffs themselves are very similar to the XXX-S, which was a proven design.

What are you doing reading RCCA reviews anyway? Go pick up the latest XRC and read mine. : p

Futureal,
Are you referring to the July issue of XRC? I have a subscription to XRC and haven't received the July issue. I can't find the review in the June issue. Also, what do you mean by "your review"? Thanks

Ray--I built my front diff up with the OLD Losi purple grease too!! It was pretty good on the first day of running but not as good as my spool. I'll bet that purple stuff is the ticket on carpet!

Keith--Nice paint bro!! I like the EA stickers!! Are the Losi stickers or are they a mask?

Tony,

You got brackets? Can I buy some off of you?

I need to meet up with you anyway so I can pay you for that other thing.
