Crates of car kits went to Horizon East on Friday. Both Horizon East and West locations will be able to distribute kits starting next week. And I thought we Californians had the edge on getting these puppies. That's fair...No complaints here.

Maybe Lloyds of London would insure...

I still would like to know will international pre-orders be shipped at the same time as ones made by US hobby shops?

EDIT: I just noted that Bill has PM's me about this matter so I got my answer.

*Breaking News* A large cargo plane went down over northeastern Nebraska. The crew were treated for mild injuries after the plane broke apart upon emergency landing. Contents of the plane were spread over a half mile of land with many items in the soft earth from snow melt.

KIDDING.

I won't believe the car is out until its sitting on the shelf at the LHS.

anyone else ever used Q-tip with CA?

Lets of some pretty nasty gas/smoke.

I thought it was the brand but it did it with the cheapos and the original ones.

Okay, I'm not a losi guy Here's a nice way to prepare carbon fiber and the results are worth it.

Sand edges of carbon fiber with 320-400 grit so that they are a little smoother and don't feel like would be razor blades

Use Losi Thin CA on a Q-tip and apply to edges

When dry (don't let it dry under flourescent lights) sand edges with 320-400 to kind of level out the dried CA

Follow with 800 grit and then 1500-2000 grit

Use Mothers Billet Aluminum Polish (available at most auto-stores) and polish the edges to a mirror finish.

Sit back and admire your handy work.

bling bling

Default Chassis Preperation

Here is how I do it.

1) Sand chassis edges with 400 grit sand paper until you get you desired finish.
2)Clean the chassis off so there is no graphite dust.
3) Spray edges of chassis with CA Accellerator(kicker). Then wipe completely dry.
4) Use the thinnest glue you can find. You will need something thinner than TL Red Thin Glue.
5)Hold the chassis vertically and put a drop of glue on the chassis edge. The glue will then run down the side of the chassis. Once the drop is about to run out apply another drop about 1 inch from where the last drop of glue has ended. This will create another bead of glue and you will need to rotate the chassis so that the glue can follow the edges of the chassis.
6)This is complete once you reach where you originally started.

This will provide you with a chassis with a glossy type finish and is dry almost immediately.
