Very nice.... In ROAR you will find out very quickly, that the President is.... powerless... the power is with the EXCOM, which is not voted into place...

Date, Race Finish Data...."

I'd say you are waiting on the "others" to get it together.

That is a very simple thing to do. ROAR just needs to ask for it, as I hope they will shortly.

"A resolution was discussed and passed to establish a National Points Championship using local events, sanction levels 1-3, with final details to be presented at the January meeting for final incorporation."
Excomm minutes from 11/06

The idea for this kind of points series was presented to ROAR in late 2001 (probably not the 1st time). How do I know this? I presented the idea while I was on the promotions committee. I still have all of the old stuff on one of my other computers. I didn't invent anything it's based off of NASCAR's short track national points series. The response at that time was why would anyone care what their national ranking is! If no one cared how they rank why did RC Pro have almost 6,000 entries in all 4 series last year and 3,000 people score points?

I still think it would be a good idea for the club racers.

this sounds like a great idea, I also raced ATV's and atleast you could shoot for a number plate, and be ranked. Great idea!

Cool concept. Kind of like the old PROCAR national oval series from back in the Day. I have a buddy of mine who races Legends cars (not the Bolink ones) they have a system like this that they use. From the reading above, it seems as though it might take someone other than ROAR to make it a reality.

Darkside.. actually no... ROAR is looking into a system, as per the EXCOMM meeting minutes...

This paticular EXCOMM seems to be moving forward.

It is too bad ROAR didn't move on this at that time or when this particular proposal was brought up about 3 years ago. Your success is obviously an indicator of how popular this could be for ROAR.

I'll take my #999 car number and be tickled to death just to be ranked nationally!!! This sounds awesome!

+1 For national system
Our local region did this kind of ranking system like 15 years ago when I was a kid...a series of 13 races across the region. I still remember to this day how much fun it was to say I was 2nd place in the novice points so long ago.
