Default Identifying motors?

Hi!

Got 2 Co27 stocks from Br00d thanks!
One tuned for carpet and other for asphalt, but I can't indentify witch is for carpet and for asphalt one.
One motor has both red springs and another purple for "+" and red for "-" .
Or is there any difference where to use them?

WBR,

Harg, Red/Red is asphalt, purple/red is carpet...

Scho, none at this time.....its possible we may get some in the next 10 days or so, but no guarantees.

Ok eddie got the stuff today and by looking at the box I now know why it took so long, and please don't worry about it. Will try it out this weekend also very nice number by the way.

Eddie, I guess my emails haven't been getting through so I sent a PM. I'm assuming you've cleaned out your PM box...

hi on the 8t ti worlds i got, there is a silver shim and a rubber o-ring on the commutator end. i lost the o-ring. what is the purpose of this o-ring? can i just add more silver shim and not use the rubber o-ring?

or can i use some Phenolic Washers?

also with shimming the motor, how much freeplay shoudl you allow for?

cheers

The o-ring reduces vibration, although it isn't necessary. You can just use shims to shim the arm.

As far as freeplay, just go by feel. You don't want the arm to be tight, you just want a very small amount of movement. About .010" play - the difference a small brass washer makes. A little less is preferable to a little more than .010".
