Hi,

I noticed the other day my left CV joint (looking at the front of the car) is right on the edge of the differential joint where as the right joint is about half way in the diff joint.

I re-adjusted the pillow balls as per the manual i.e. 3.2mm (well 3mm using cheap calipers) gap between the steering knuckle and the suspension arm on both ends but the left CV joint is almost coming out. This will for sure pop out in light crash.

Both the CV joints are the same length (i would be worried if they werent) and I have used the front CV's for the front. The rear have a marking in the middle.

Any ideas?

RPM makes a thing called the bearing blaster. Use elecrtic motor spray and it works great. For lube I use Trinity royal oil.

There are longer cv joints that some stock in the EVO kit, I think.
Or use wheels with offset, or remove the CV joints, replace them with axles and dogbones, but use Mugen 'bones that I think are a bit longer.

Have you read through the FAQ at my RRR Web site? A lot of the questions you are asking are answered there.

Hey mdhawaii, are you going to update the ultimate X etc taking the Evo or Evo WC into consideration? Or is it still relevant?
