What springs have you found best for Fairy Meadow?....I havent raced there since the last Winternats, but heard that the track section in front of the drivers has "lifted" slightly and as a result "bounces" the cars a bit.

this is how i do it.
-after you assembled the shock piston, fill up the shock to the top. move the piston up and down until all the air bubbles start to come out. wait for the bubbles to disappear (might take few minutes depends on the wt). after it disappear, put a few more drops to the top again.
-put the membrane and press it down (not too hard) to let the oil flow out from the shock body (you might want to hold it it with cloth or tissue).
-put the shock cap on and tighten it.
that's how i do my shocks
and i hate to build associated shocks

For the guys doing the clutches. You should definatly get the hard spring and the setting on that is 2.1 it is a night an day difference. The guys doing the springs I have tried pretty much all the springs. The springs change the car very little there more for fine tuning. It depends on the track really also the fanthom/v1r springs are more progressive. The new evolva springs will need the smaller adjuster to use but are really stiff.

Probably std silver fronts and the "yellow" V1S (i think) on the rear with something like 350 wt oil all round. Start from there with 10,000 wt diff oil and 37's F/R, probably would use a Protoform Mazda 6.

i haven't got the chance to find out whether it's due to the hardened pinion or just improper meshing or the engine position shifted slightly hence improper meshing. whatever it is I won't be surprised if the hardened pinion caused it. after all the weaker one will wear out.
anyone else tried it?

Use the Kawahara pinions. They are a little heavier but lasts forever.
Dodo, the steel pinion is not the reason why you stripped your spur gear. It's probably the gear mesh.
I also heard Kysho is coming out with its own steel pinions.

Kawahara only makes first gear ones i can't find second. Some guy is selling them on ebay look like they are worth while. The hardened gear is not the reason because whatever kyosho makes there spurs out of it is strong. It was definatly your mesh or lack of up keep
