DCJ's on the rear will free the car up middle and out. It makes the rear want to "swing around" if you will.

Please don't get me wrong, but can you really recognize it, or is it more of a feeling? I am asking it this way, because the degree of the joint is so small in comparison to the steering in front.
Your thesis seems to intend that you loose a little grip in the rear. Or do you mean it swings better, because the resistence effect of the bending joint is not there?

Kevin, as there is less friction in the joint, the car should generate less rear grip which will cause the floating feeling they describe. Driveshaft angles create a "bind" that has been observed to cause higher grip levels do to the straightening forces of the shafts being applied.

Using a dcj in the rear should be good under high grip conditions, where you want to free up the car a bit.

You can definitely recognize it. When I tried it, I didnt like it because to me it made the rear too unpredictable on corner exit. The effect comes not from the degree of the joint, but the weight/length of the driveshafts

While my experience is not on a RSD6 I have tried this on my Xray and can 2nd what Mike says. It does make the car rotate/slide in the center of the corner and makes it a little unpredictable. It was good for a fast lap but was harder to drive with ECS in the rear.

Hehehe. Just some small revisions for more versatility and less maintenance.
