Yes, you can, but the B4 wheels have a much narrower offset, so in a way the rims aren't even compatible.

AE B/T4 type slipper for my B/T3.

Remove the slipper setup from truck keep parts in order so you can reassemble as needed.

The inner slipper plate remove the lip that holds the slipper pad in place.

Get 1 set of AE B4/T4 slipper pads AE#9603 (they come two in a pack).

Get a AE#9651 81t spur (IF that is the size you use)(AE only offers 81, 84 and 87 tooth spurs)

1. Put inner slipper on truck
2. Then a slipper pad
3. Then spur gear making sure slipper pad is in its placement on gear.

AE manaul states to "press pads into spur gear" have 3 AE trucks and I've never had them stay in the gear as I assembled the slipper!!

4. Second slipper pad
5. Outer slipper plate
6. The rest of the washers/spring/nut in the order you removed them.

NO you do not use screws to mount spur gear, its between the slipper plates not on the outside of the outer plate.

7. Adjust slipper nut as needed.

Much smoother under power and coming out of turns like my Race AE T4.

Is there a way to stop the eclips from the front inner hinge pins coming off???

like a better bumper that covers the front and back of the pins so they cant hit the ground and pull off during a wrong landing or crash?


I have the thunder tiger at-10 , which i am told is the same as the B3.

yeah the RPM front bumper is significantly bigger and will cover the circlips

It won't stop the rear clips coming off though, but the bumper should stop the pins coming out the front anyway.

I was using B3 wheels on my Custom Works sprint car & they were getting hard to come by. I can tell you that I got a few by researching about Thunder Tiger buying Associated, so Thunder Tiger has a 2wd buggy that IS a B3, contact the US distributor & get a part #,( I can't find it right now!) then call your local hobby shop & ask them to order them in, they assured me last spring that they had no shortage of them. A nitro Duratrax Evader 2wd buggy uses the same wheel too. Worse case scenario is to buy some 2wd truck wheels & cut the 1st inner lip off (narrowing the wheel) & mount your favorite 2.2 bugy tire on them & go!
