A bunch of guys at a club I race at have HPI Sprint 2, I would say they are a very good entry level car that can take a lot of abuse. I would not bother with the Flux brushless versions though, a lot of guys had problems with the HPI brushless system and upgraded to better systems really quick. Tamiya are excellent and if you are into the Mini, that's an awesome little car.
