Default Question on Weight of Molded Carbon Parts

I was wondering if anyone can with accurate knowledge of the percentage weight savings of the Carbon Parts over the plastic kit parts (is it 5% 10%, 15% 20% more?)

FYI, I have the weights I measured in grams of the TC4 plastic kit parts below trimmed ready for mounting.

Chassis 154.6g
All 4 Chassis Braces 17.1g
Both Front Arms 14.1g
Both Rear Arms 14.5g
Both Steering Blocks 7.6g
Both Rear Hubs 6.4g
Front Shock Tower 5.8g
Rear Shock Tower 7.9g

Total Weight of Plastic Parts that have Carbon Replacements: 228g

This will help me in deciding to go Carbon + its spares or just buy plastic spares. Thanks.

Does anyone have a parts breakdown on line I can look up. For some reason My LHS still has not recieved one kit. Been on back order for a while now. Oh well, I can wait.
Just would like to order some parts to have when the car does get here. Can't find a breakdown on AE site.

First goto this link for a pdf file of the exploded drawing:

http://download.teamassociated.com/p...rawing_tc4.pdf

This will have the part numbers for each part shown. Then goto this link to confirm the part number is the right description and quantity as some parts are close together in the drawing:

Is anybody here running the car in mod? It seems like most people who have the car are running stock.

Does anybody know of any online stores that have the graphite kit, swaybars, and rear toe blocks in?

Josh

Ordered my toe in blocks from AE and backordered the sway bars. Sway bars are a couple of days out. Story I got was the instructions were done but one piece in the kit was wrong and they are just waiting for the new piece to come in.

Default AE TEAM

Well i went down to check out the worlds, it was amazing to see all my top drivers in the flesh. But one thing that stood out in my eyes during the racing, that was the organization of the manufactures pits and thier "team meetings". TAMIYA, XRAY,YOKOMO,HPI,CORALLY. Those teams were on top of there game in every aspect. They had team meetings, talked about set-ups and everying thing they did was flawless! Excellent job!

But when it came to AE, LOSI, and others they were way behind the game. Drivers wouldnt converse on there set-ups and were moving in seperate directions.
Losi cars kept breaking each heat. Some AE drivers we were ignorant. (just a few)

This is were it stood out the most for me!!!
I thought about buying a TC4 for racing, but after seeing one of the AE drivers quote "I am going to throw this peice of shit car up the AE manufactures asses" i have reconsidered and thinking about buying an eurpoean manufactures car.

I kid you not!
