I just ran some Take-off 22's. John and Chris said that new tires work better, probably because they don't have an residual tire dope left in them, so I guess I'll need to pick up a new set sooner or later.

I talked to Tracy a lot last night about the track and we bounced around a few ideas. I think there will be some good things to come. Good enough for mod sedan I hope

Where would he get that stuff at? I hope it works. The track was unbeleivable today. I was running 13.3 and 13.4 for 15 to 20 laps straight.

WHats up with Rob, he selling all of his stuff?

Next time you come I will sign up no matter what in buggy.

Enid with skidnot would be the best onroad track in the region. I have no doubt about that. Factory guys would love it too. They'd have no problem getting big races. Thats just a big track to spray.

but oh my, tires would wear great, last a long time, and premounts are super dialed on the stuff... i'd be willing to pitch in some extra (with entry or donation) if this could become a reality

Yea the premounts last mouths. If its something Darin and Tracy are interested in I would be more then happy to chip in some bucks to help. I'd also be willing to come up some weekend and help.

David, I think the main thing is to not make it too gritty with the sand content to keep tire wear to a minimum. I know Darin said he thought the stuff was pretty expensive per gallon, but the guys I talked to in construction thought it was pretty cheap. If they go to skid not I would become an enid junkie very quick.

Premounts seem to get BETTER with some age on them. Unlike the old surface at ACR, where you needed new tires every 2 weeks or so.

Everyone should let Darin and Tracy know what they think. I'm sure they'd like to hear everyones thoughts.

i dont think its all that expensive to buy, but it would take many, many gallon cans to do a track the size of Enid's. i think you can find info about it at www.lowes.com but as far as how much is anyone's guess. Randy might know more, after doing it before.

So what are the prelim talks leaning towards? I know plans get changed and thoughts change but a brief overview can help us out of towners get an idea of what may be coming....lol

THanks for any info you got....

Well last night we were talking about maybe a sealer or mixing the WD40 with something to help it dry up. But if Skidnot can be done I think thats the way to go. You never have to worry about it wearing off or having to redo it. If everyone is really serious and interested they need to let Darin and Tracy know. I'm willing to donate some cash to help do it. I'd also be willing to pay a little extra to race to help out.

Midnight if you see this call me tomorrow sometime.

I agree with you David on that surface. I always had a great time at RCR and to be able to have a track with the pits and size of Enid with that kind of surface....it would be on road heaven. The spraying of concoctions worries me a bit and the inconsistant surface is what keeps me know from running there on the on road. Will be interesting to see what they some up with.
