Team Cobra Tire Lathe
I know hat you're gonna say "Cobra?", why on earthe would you..." and probably a few more creatives ones as well. Well, it is a Team Cobra Lathe and I can only justify it by claiming that I got what I could afford [which was certainly better than having no lathe at all].
Now, for the real question. The dials that control the movement across the tire's surface and the depth of the pass both move with the vibration of the the lathe's motor and drive. I'm thinking plastic or rubber shims could create enough resistance to keep them in place yet free enough to manipulate either dial. Correct logic or am I out of my gord?
Lastly, the platform the cutter rests on has some lateral play in it. Any clues on what to do here?
By the way, it is not an optical illusion, same Q is in Nitro on-road forum..looking for all the suggestions I can get.
