I was hoping AE is using similar design with Barracuda3 and TB EVO4, framework style gear box. It gives the best maintenance friendly and keep the structure in good shape (damper tower direct connect to structure framwork, not the top of gearbox), which I believe will be widely use in future TC design.

Another reason of disappoint is: since NTC3 following the basic design of TC3, it's reasonable to believe NTC4 will following the basic design of TC4. Than if TC4 is just a mod design, I doubt there will be a major design change on NTC4, which I really looking forward to.

But, this is just my 2cents. No matter what design they used, I will go for AE's new TC4 and NTC4...
Yo be honest do they reall need to be so radical for the TC4? I mean the 3 is still winning, so obviously provides a good baseline design.
I guess it might have soemthing to do with the TC3 being so different when it was released, we expect the same this time round.....

The car is still winning races, why bother going radical or change it at all?

I dunno....

This seems suspiciously too easy with them posing and smiling like that.

I think AE knew that the pic would eventually show up on one of the forums and they did this intentionally.

AE is tryin' to throw us off.

well its like teh b2 and b3, they weren't much different but the b3 was much better round the track...they also had a b2 to b3 conversion kit.

so maybe we will see a tc3-tc4 conversion kit

Its more than likely a modified tc3. Nothing more. AE wouldn't have Cliff Lett posing with a picture of there new car if they havent released anything.

Changes I see.....

-Narrower chassis, for moved in batts and even narrower around the motor.
-NTC3 rack flipped backwards (Tim, check it out! )
-Shock towers look updated a bit, front one looks wider and they both look thicker.
-Front of the chassis is beefed up.

Suspension geometry looks pretty much the same otherwise. I HOPE they changed the motor mount so it doesn't warp the chassis. And I'm sure the newer diff cases that are much more free are included so no work has to be done. Maybe they made roll center changes for us carpet guys a little easier!!

Hey man, whatever works, but I won't be the first one with that car until RPM comes out with a wide bumper.
