you won't need two motors...the one brushless link has both esc and motor... you don't need the $79.99 one

I am a bit curious..........
Why such a powerplant for a newbie? If the car is geared right, it would be s decent racer, provided that any clubs will allow a brushless into the clubs events. It is as good as a modified motor.
Call me crazy, but you are not ready for this type of system. I'd start a little tad slower, say like, hmm.... stock? I really hate to see you ruin a good car or a brushless system because you can't handle the speeds it may generate.
But again, it is just my opinion.
And like my momma used to say: "Opinions are like Assholes, everyone has one."
hmmm.... that should have been my sig.

Why not ask the people at your local hobbyshop. They are there to help you pick what you need and by supporting the local shop you will have a place to race.

A tmaxx is totaly diffrent than a touring car belive me i had a tmaxx for a first car than i switched to touring it takes alot more skill to drive on a track than it dose to backyard bash!!
