No offence, but I couldn't bring myself to pay 27 bucks for a roll of tape!

+1. maybe we should start a group buy

The Scotch tape has not failed me yet. And I get it for free.

battery tape doesnt break, it tears, where it comes out of the chassis
So tensile strength is not relevant ???

Ive tried really super sticky, super thick strapping tape.
MuchMore Batt Tape is 100% better , would not have believed unless I had tried it. Also very thin, but does delaminate a bit after a while & removed & restuck when changing batts. Can easily get a days racing without putting new stuff on.

Well sounds pretty simple. What about Velcro straps? I know on the cuomracer the battery is semi enclosed and just needs to keep from sliding out the side.

In a tub type chassis, Velcro works alright, but it's a lot easier to strap too tight and tweak the car.

clean the dirty tape with a bit of motor spray every now and then and it'll rejuvenate the adhesive.

Hudy tape is the best by far that I have tried, most the other stuff is Sliontec, no way near as good as the hudy stuff
