Airbrush diagnosis

Airbrush diagnosis
I broke out my airbrush today to do a little painting - an Iwata HP-CS. However, it isn't performing as it should. Working all the way up to 60 psi, the airbrush will spray fine initially, but gradually the stream will die down so that 20 seconds later I'm left with nothing but air. Not only this, but when spraying, bubbles rise up through the paint, sometimes causing it to bubble out of the paint cup.
I took the airbrush apart and gave it a thourough cleaning, then took it back downstairs. I sprayed some Createx airbrush cleaner though it, and had the exact same two problems. I checked and tightened everything, including the large cone shaped piece that screws on to the main airbrush body, and this helped the bubbles somewhat, but they are still there.
Anybody have an idea what's wrong with my airbrush and what I'm going to need to replace?
Thanks,
Josh

What type of compressor are you using? Does it have a water trap built in?

I don't normally spray at 60psi, but I went that high to see if it would make the problem go away.
I'm using a huge old air compressor. I'm not sure if it has a built in water trap, I'm guessing not.
